✏️Erection of supports

📌Wooden poles:
👉The  portion  2 meters  from  the  bottom  have  to  buried  in  the ground.
👉This  portion  should  be  painted  with  bitumen  to  avoid deterioration.
👉After  the  erection  pit  should  be  partially  filled  with  small pieces  of  bricks,  stones  and  rammed  well.
👉After  that  earth  should  be  filled  and  ramming  is  done.

📌Steel tubular  poles, Braced  channel  poles and Rails
 👉A suitable  pad  of  cement  concrete,  stone  or  steel  is  provided  at the  bottom  of  pit.
👉This  should  be  done  before  the  erection  of  pole.
👉A cement  concrete  muff  extending  0.2m  above  the  ground  with a  tapered  top  to  shed  the  rain  water  is  provided. 👉This  is  to  avoid  corrosion. 

📌Pre-stressed  and  RCC  Poles 
👉RCC poles  are  of  larger  cross  section  than  PCC.
👉therefore  there  is  no  need  of  providing  base  plates  or muffs.
👉In  case  of  PCC  poles,  a  base  plate  concrete  block  is provided.
