✏️Erection of supports

๐Ÿ“ŒWooden poles:
๐Ÿ‘‰The  portion  2 meters  from  the  bottom  have  to  buried  in  the ground.
๐Ÿ‘‰This  portion  should  be  painted  with  bitumen  to  avoid deterioration.
๐Ÿ‘‰After  the  erection  pit  should  be  partially  filled  with  small pieces  of  bricks,  stones  and  rammed  well.
๐Ÿ‘‰After  that  earth  should  be  filled  and  ramming  is  done.

๐Ÿ“ŒSteel tubular  poles, Braced  channel  poles and Rails
 ๐Ÿ‘‰A suitable  pad  of  cement  concrete,  stone  or  steel  is  provided  at the  bottom  of  pit.
๐Ÿ‘‰This  should  be  done  before  the  erection  of  pole.
๐Ÿ‘‰A cement  concrete  muff  extending  0.2m  above  the  ground  with a  tapered  top  to  shed  the  rain  water  is  provided. ๐Ÿ‘‰This  is  to  avoid  corrosion. 

๐Ÿ“ŒPre-stressed  and  RCC  Poles 
๐Ÿ‘‰RCC poles  are  of  larger  cross  section  than  PCC.
๐Ÿ‘‰therefore  there  is  no  need  of  providing  base  plates  or muffs.
๐Ÿ‘‰In  case  of  PCC  poles,  a  base  plate  concrete  block  is provided.
